Botalatala is a game designed for the educational theatre classes. It permits students and teachers alike to easily create elements for stage and costume design to sustain theatre play in an educational environment.
The base consists of ten 1x1 m felt boards cut in different ways, each taking on elements from fairytale characters, in subtle ways. They can be assembled in various ways, resulting in rather abstract shapes. The objects evoke, they don’t reference directly, leaving room for imagination and great liberty in interpreting space. The objects don’t create play but allow it to appear spontaneously.
