Fairytale illustrations for Tudor Jurgiu's feature film 'And They May Still Be Alive Today'.
The film is a modern fairytale with regular people and it needed some visual representations for in-between scenes.
The images use colour block shapes to contrast with the more traditional fairytale illustrations and washed-out colours and characters without faces to recreate a dreamlike state. Many of the images reference famous pieces of art, performance or films to create a feeling of familiarity.
Unfortunately, they weren't chosen in the final version of the film, but the fairytale remains.
